Gillette men’s Barbers Mental health campaign
Feeling depressed or anxious is not unusual or shameful, yet a survey of over 1,000 men conducted by the Today Show in 2016 revealed that 49% of men feel more depressed than they care to admit to people in their life, and are much less likely to voice their struggles with mental illness, and even thoughts of s*ic*de. By using quotes and real barbershop photography, this campaign draws the public’s attention to something they were probably doing subconsciously – venting and dumping to their hair stylists. We aim to direct people to a microsite that would aid in finding mental health screenings, scheduling therapy appointments nearby, and providing some education about mental health & wellness to combat the stigma against men dealing with mental illness.
