Lady Gaga: The queen of camp

“People say that I hid in fashion… I was never hiding, I was screaming

This was an entry for the UCDA Student competition for The Society of Publication Designers in the Fashion/Lifestyle category. The type was set pre-intertwine-tool, illustrative black, feminine type wrapping around bold white block letters, meant to represent Lady Gaga’s boldness and rigidity in the media. The use of vibrant colors and a style reminiscent of fashion illustrations really help to emphasize what Lady Gaga means when she said in Vogue on YouTube, “people say that I hid in fashion… I was never hiding, I was screaming.”
